The Blue House

Constructed at the end of the 15th century on the first walls of the town (you can still see vestiges of the wall in certain apartments), the Blue House looks out on Saint Nicolas street and the donkey marketplace. Behind the house, to the south, is the wall and pit which were used at the beginning of the 19th century to enlarge the house. The home used to belong to a winemaker/barrel maker and we have preserved the traces of transformations made down through the centuries and have preserved or rediscovered the original materials (wood ceilings, whitewashed stucco, quarry stones, exposed timber frame beams). Each apartment is decorated with respect to the ambiance of the old house and offers a warm and very personalized ambiance (see the photos and descriptions).

The house is located at the end of a very quiet little street but within steps to all the facilities of this small town - the market, bakeries, tea rooms, restaurants, bistrots, museums, art galleries, expositions and concerts. A play area for children and the departure point for foot and bicycle paths are right near the house.

The house is perfectly suited for a large family or a group of friends who will enjoy gathering together in the common  areas - on the terrace, in the small courtyard, or in the kitchen to prepare meals together, or in the large living room to share the joy of conviviality in a spacious setting. But the Blue House also respects the individual’s desire for privacy. All the rooms have private baths.a sitting area, and kitchenette. The suites also offer larger living areas where you can retreat in private to have a cup of tea, care for a small child, or watch a DVD. The pleasures of vactioning with a group without having to put up with the inconveniences - this is the real advantage of this family home.
