F.A.Q. :
> How do I reserve ? Click on the righthand colum under « reservation ».
> How much will it cost ? Still on the righthand column, click on « prices ».
> Are animals allowed ? No, sorry
> Do we have to stay a full week ? No, you may stay starting 2 nights. Otherwise, rentals are by the week and don’t forget - it takes 3 weeks to see everything in Alsace. There is something for everyone !
> Is the house accessible by car ? Riquewihr is a medieval village but you can easily get to the house by car to unload your luggage. Free parking is available just a block or so from the house.
> Where can we buy groceries ? In Riquewihr there is a bakery and market, otherwise downtown Ribeauvillé (4 km away) has all the necessary shops.
> Is your house well situated for a vacation with children - is there enough to do so they won’t be bored ? You can’t be bored in Alsace ! Riquewihr is one big playground full of things to see and discover within the walls of the village. The Stork and Otter reserve is just 2 km away, a play pool 5km away as well as the magic butterfly pavillion. Children adore Haute Koenigsbourg castle (20 km) and the Alsatian Ecomuseum (35 minutes by car). There are also numerous walks around the village suited for children.
> If we have only 10 people, can we still rent the house ? Of course ! Refer to the first category of prices. But the best price starts with parties of 12 people.
> We’re concerned about possible problems if we try to plan a vacation for 16 people staying in the same place for a week… No problem ! This is exactly the advantage of the Blue House. You can live there in complete independance (each room has a private bath, kitchenette, and living area) or decide to share all or some moments as a group. There is a large eat-in kitchen (for 18 people), a common living room on the ground floor, and a large terrace (partly covered) equipped with garden furniture and a gas barbecue on the first floor. Those in your party who seek solitude to watch that soccor game which drives everybody else crazy, or share a quiet glass of wine or a private conversation can simply retire to their own living space in their bedroom or suite.
> We don’t know the region and don’t speak French. No problem ! We speak English and German. We are very involved with local tourism and can give you before or during your stay some great tips to make your vacation more enjoyable. We can also put you in contact with local tourist guides, hiking guides, bicycle rentals, a convertible bus (yes, a bus which is a convertible), canoe rentals etc. to make your stay truly unique !!
